MIKE DEL MARMOL

Mike del Marmol was born in small town Miami, Florida, where he attended Colonial Drive Elementary. When he was 2, he tried to ride a rabbit like a horse (mimicking the actions of his older sister), and killed it. Years later, he sought revenge on his sister and shot her in the wrist with a BB gun. She soon retaliated by stabbing Mike repeatedly with a sharpened No.2 pencil – once in the neck and again on his upper arm. Mike still bears the scars from this attack, and the BB is still imbedded in his sister’s wrist. Mike’s work is informed by all of this.
